My first week as a 16th grader.

Welp, just like that, my last first week of school is over.

Firstly, I would like to clear up some stuff I posted in my last blog. While I re-read it and it sounds as though I was mad, I was actually amused by the middle of the night event that occurred. Sara, Virginia and I have laughed and joked about it numerous times and it really was pretty funny. We still bring it up and tease one another (her included). The 'hippie' comment is also not to be taken in a bad way, nor was it meant as such. I absolutely love my two roommates. Their overall presence makes everyone happy and the energy and overall outlook on life that they have is one to be admired. I may not have [in the last blog] talked much about their personalities, but I am taking the time now to let everyone know how happy I am that we are living together. I can honestly say our paths would not have crossed prior to my trip abroad and the overall outlook I had on being open to new things. I am so glad I have changed in that sense. While it may seem as though I am saying all of this in response to a comment left on the previous blog, I really was planning on explaining to my blog followers how much I do love these girls, 'hippie' or not!

Now while that is out of the way, I will just finish by saying this year is absolutely going to fly by. I can already tell that this will all be over far too soon. I hated leaving home, but now I am starting [yeah, already] to realize that this is it. I won't be back here. There is a very limited amount of people here that I will see after graduation, especially if I move back home. That is sad. I am not really a fan. So all I can really do in the mean time is enjoy it to the fullest. And truly follow through with that. Wish  me luck. I tend to talk myself out of partaking in normal college activities.

Volleyball has started. 2-a-days are over. I was sore for about 3 days, and now my body is going through its annual volleyball beginning of the season injuries. Our first legit match is this Friday. I will let everyone know how that goes.

Classes wont be toooo difficult this semester, I have two that will require a lot of work, but that is to be expected as a senior I believe.

I have been here for about 2 weeks and I Finally got my room all set up and decorated [I am such a girl], but I feel pretty good about getting everything up on the walls; it will still take me a bit to unpack all of my boxes that were in storage, but I will get around to them! This blog entry is kind of annoying to me since I have nothing of substance to really say right now. Nothing incredibly embarrassing, terrible, funny or amazing has happened yet....

Sorry!

I had to. Gooodnightt. Sweetdreams.

I am unsure if this is my only post that I will blog while being at Guilford, as I don't fully intend on getting this thing going again, but this HAD to be told somewhere publicly, and Facebook was not appropriate.

I moved back to Guilford this week. Bittersweet. More bitter than sweet however. I am missing my Grandparents 50th anniversary/family reunion/see everyone that has known me since birth - festivities taking place as I am typing this. AWESOME. It was weird enough to come back to the states after Ireland, but multiply that by 2 at least returning to Guilford. It hasn't been all bad. The group of girls on the volleyball team this year will be fun. One of the Freshmen really looks up to me and has told me numerous times I have already made her decision to play for Guilford that much better, and she wishes I had been here for her recruiting trip. And she is really fun-So that will be good.

Anyways, the reason for blogging at 4am.
I am living in Hodgins this year. It is an apartment complex [kinda] on campus behind our football field. My friends/roommates, Shelby and Brittany, from years past decided to live off campus this year, and with my scholarships not allowing me the option of doing so, I had to find new people to live with, last second. Well being in Ireland, that proved to be difficult. Eventually I was connected with these 2 girls, kind of hippie. But seemed cool. I figured 'hey I moved to Ireland all alone and made amazing friends [after moving from the nasty orange house] why can't I do it again, should be good for me'

Well, in between today's 2 practices I finally met my roommates. They seemed really cool. The one girl, Virginia, had her parents here helping her move in. Naturally I start to miss my own. Awesome. The other girl Sara (sar-uh) and Virginia are best friends. Expected.

They invite me to go out and drink with them tonight. Not interested. I blew them off for Mary and Whit from the volleyball team to go find more adult activities to partake in ie. the bounce house obstacle course set up for all of the freshmen! Oh yeah, we did go over there! Such a bust, so we just hung out, but were all so exhausted we were back to our apts by 10pm, asleep by 11 for me.

I was awakened (awoke?)...woke up at 3:40am by the creak of my door. Now- you would think that after being so trusting in Ireland and leaving my doors unlocked only to have the roommates barge in drunk at like 4am would have taught me NOT to do that, right? Wrong. I see the naked outline of Sara (sar-uh). She turns the light on, recognizes it is not her room and goes to close the door. She didn't make it all the way, makes a noise and squats right in my doorway/kitchen. I hear water running. I yelled out her name.
 'SARA!'
'Oh hi Taylor!' (in the sweetest most innocent (not on purpose or in a mocking way))
'um you are peeing on my floor'
'oh. I really had to gooo.'
'well clean it up I guess' (stupidly thinking it is just on the tile at that point- no need to argue with a drunk girl)
'goodnight. Sweet dreaaaammms'
She grabbed a paper towel and wiped it up. I got up to check (naturally) and she did not just get it on the tile. She did not clean it up- and she was NOT wearing any clothes, nor did she sound sorry.

I guess that is my welcome back to Guilford the 'Hippie way'.

I emailed her the 'Taylor way' and told her I am not trying to be the bad guy, but she will be getting carpet cleaner tomorrow and cleaning that up.

I miss you all...so much. I hope the 'Arnold's Adventure' was everything we all looked forward to, and then some!

Happy 50th Anniversary Jeep Grandma and Grandpa!

Goodnightttt. Sweeetdreams.
